Trailer Modifications

As the trailer work progresses pictures will be added.  Comments or ideas are welcome.

Why We Need To Get Organized

View of the warehouse from inside the empty trailer. All of this stuff has to go back inside?

Shelf Construction

The shelves were made from 5/8 pressed board and a frame of 1x2. The top is nailed and glued to the frame.

Preparing for shelf installation

View of trailer prior to hangin power cords and installing side shelving.

Wall Mounted Chargers

The high intensity liight and suction machine chargers are mounted on the wall near the front of the trailer.

Work Station

The work station allows for storage of standard bins

Side Door Ventilation

The front work station allows easy entry through the side door. Plans to put on awning over the door are being considered by the Skunk Works.

Generator Battery Conditioner

The 5kw generator battery is under constant trickle charge.

Installation

Shelves are installed by rsting an edge on cleats attached to the wall at the appropriate height. Spacers (the pieces of wood in the photo) hold the front edge at the right height as the shelve is tacked to the side supports.

Handwashing Station Storage

The Hand Washing Station is about 24 inches wide. Conveniently the same depth as the shelviing (I love it when a plan comes together).

Shelving and Cord Hanger

Shelves are installed 20 inches from the edge of the door to provide space for table or chair storage. Power cords are stored off of the floor.

Shelving with Bins

Shelving is installed with screws to hold the unit against the wall. Shelves hold 16 bins with room for smaller materials on the ends.

PAPR Charging Rack

Brackets hold a shelf for five charger-conditioners for our PAPR's. The shelf has a lip to keep the chargers from sliding out. A cord over the top holds them down when the trailer is moviing.

Essential Tools

Putting the newly installed shelving to use. The M&M's are on the shelf above this one.

Work Station

Counter top installed using poylurethane glue and brads. Edge rounded over with the handy router.

Stained work desk

Two coats of polyurethane stain to protect the wood from diet coke and chocolate

Honey Pine

Only the best for the work desk

Shelf Organization?

Loaded shelves

Pop-Up storage

Space for 2 pop-ups located at the ramp area with eye hooks for securing during transit Safety cones and hand cart even have a spot

Electric outlets

Power strip is installed under the suction and light

Oxygen

The oxygen tank is secured to the wall

Cargo straps

Shelf cargo is secure in transit with this fancy rope although the ends aren't melted yet so they will unwind.

Tent wagon

No more lugging the tent. Just get it on the wagon and away it goes.

It all fits!

Medical Supplies

Work desk stores the pediatric bag, trauma bag, first aid kit, and airway bag during transit.
