SECTORS |
| SMART coordinates emergency preparedness activities for many
volunteer organizations. The SMART Standard Operating
Guidelines define an organization that participates as a SECTOR.
All members are assigned to a SECTOR. The advantage of the
SECTOR concept allows an existing group (medical or dental
society for example) to receive the training, information,
integrated planning, and liability benefits of SMART. The
parent group retains its autonomy and SMART lists it as a
SECTOR. SECTORS are represented on the SMART Executive
Committee.
Most SECTOR members will be classified as Standby.
However, many will become Active members and contribute to SMART
as well as their SECTOR.
Core SECTORS are Casualty Collection Point, Tactical, Safety,
and Command and Control. |
